A collection of pieces all showcasing the changes and shifts when making attempts to find a home in LOVE.
Each of the garments are sourced from Japan and Italy, are repurposed, and include hand-embroidered messages. These evoke the mental, physical, and emotional processes—or lack thereof—within both individuals pursuing love. Reflecting the male lover’s surface-level view of the women, the different pieces here are put into looks that embody the personalities and appearances of said temporary muses.
Represented by garments that emphasize the male’s cynicism and braggadocio, the clothes serve as the medium of communication between man and woman in the war of LOVE. The two stand at opposing sides of the chaos, and are therefore unable to meet in the middle and share a meaningful connection.
It is through clothing, worn as armor, that we shield ourselves from the outside world. Therefore, the messages displayed here not only protect the male and his ego, but also outwardly remind both he and the women involved of his stance as the broken lover. In the end, the ultimate goal is for both sides to not be blinded nor weakened by any false pursuits in love, but to instead find purpose through self-growth.
